Learn how to create a stunning seascape step-by-step using a basic set of supplies – just 2 good brushes and primary colors!
Study 4 stages of paper wetness – gloss, sheen, matte, and dry – to get beautiful and predictable result every time you paint
Master 3 types of techniques to create easy but stunning textures in your paintings
Get better acquainted with your colors, learn to combine them and mix gorgeous shades
Program of the workshop
Part 1 – Theory
- Explore the basic set of supplies for watercolor painting and see the right way to use each tool
- Understand 4 stages of paper wetness
- Learn to work with colors: see how each one flows, pay attention to color transparency, watch colors interact with each other, and find out what colors look like when they are dry
- Explore techniques for creating easy textures: basic brush techniques, plastic wrap application, using salt, alcohol spray, or water spray
Part 2 – Practice!
- Start painting a lovely seascape with a wave and rocks using the knowledge you gained.

Meet your instructor:
Terrilynn Dubreuil
- With a Fine Arts degree, Terrilynn Dubreuil has studied in wide-ranging situations to expand personal knowledge and creative resources.
- She has been teaching various media and techniques of art to people of all ages for 35 years, both in-person and virtually.
- Terrilynn is a juried Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA), Signature member of Pastel Society of Maine, Master Pastellist with the International Association of Pastel Societies.
- She’s been exhibiting and selling artwork in diverse venues, receiving recognition at many juried international shows and getting awards.
- In 2023 she was awarded the First Place in the IAPS Exhibit and in 2024 – 8th place in the SOCIÉTÉ DES PASTELLISTES DE FRANCE 40th Anniversary International Pastel Contest, 23rd Feytiat International Pastel Show (France).
