What you walk away with

Two ways this can go. Both put your work in front of people.

Every entry:

  • Your painting shown in the Artefacto Online Exhibition

If the jury selects your work:

  • Your painting hangs on a gallery wall in central London – we mount it for you

  • Your name is in the printed catalog you can hold in your hands – and in the online catalog

  • You receive an official certificate of participation

  • You have a shot at prizes from our partners and Artefacto, awarded on the exhibition's results

  • Your painting will be shipped back to you after the show

  • One line you keep for good: exhibited in London.

A printed catalog and an online catalog, a certificate, recognition from artists you admire – real, tangible proof of where your work stands.

This could be your first exhibition – and even if the jury doesn't select you, every entry is shown in the online exhibition, so you're seen either way.

Where your painting ends up

The exhibition opens on Thursday 19 November at a gallery in the heart of London (Indra Gallery, a 3-minute walk from Old Street) – with free entry, a curator-led tour, and an evening of art and conversation.

Come stand in front of your own work on the wall – or follow it all from home. Either way, it's there.

London 2025

This wall is real – we opened it last year.

In 2025, Artefacto students showed their work in London for the first time, alongside world-class masters. This year, for the first time, that place is open through a competition – and it could be you.

There's more to the festival: the workshops

The exhibition is one part of something bigger

Across four days in London, the same masters lead live workshops – in person, or online via live streams. If you'd like to paint beside them, not only exhibit, this is where you join.

FAQ

Your work has stayed home long enough. This November, it could be on a wall in London – seen, held in a printed catalog, shown beside the masters. Or you could learn, for the first time, exactly what a master sees when they look at your work. Either way, you find out where you stand. Applications close on 16 August.
