What this is, in plain words
Here's the whole thing in one breath.
You submit one painting. A jury of experts from the festival selects works for the Artefacto exhibition held in central London this November.
Only about 60 paintings will be chosen for display in London – this is a truly selective show. And every work that enters the competition is also included in the Artefacto online exhibition, so your painting will be seen in both places.
The competition is open to Artefacto students.

Good to know before you enter: both plans are your entry into the competition. If your work is selected, a reduced exhibition fee of €70 / $81 applies afterwards – paid only if you get in. Full breakdown in the FAQ.

Your painting is reviewed by the master artists of the festival – the same painters leading the live workshops in London this November.

Where your painting ends up
The exhibition opens on Thursday 19 November at a gallery in the heart of London (Indra Gallery, a 3-minute walk from Old Street) – with free entry, a curator-led tour, and an evening of art and conversation.
Come stand in front of your own work on the wall – or follow it all from home. Either way, it's there.

In 2025, Artefacto students showed their work in London for the first time, alongside world-class masters. This year, for the first time, that place is open through a competition – and it could be you.
