Mentorship Program with Pablo Rubén

Water Mastery:

Pablo Rubén’s Secrets Revealed

The layered method behind Pablo’s water — revealed in 4 live Zoom sessions with personal feedback on your work

  • See what goes down first — and why the order decides everything
  • Build reflections, light, and transparency — the three skills every water painting needs
  • Paint with Pablo, get feedback from Pablo — every session, on your actual work

4 live Zoom sessions · June 8, 15, 22, 29 · 12:00 PM CEST · Lifetime access to recordings

Pablo Rubén 500+ international awards · 18 years with water as his signature subject

«Watercolor embodies all the spontaneity of water itself. Water is the source of everything. When I paint it, I’m not capturing reflections or waves — I’m expressing rhythm, silence, and movement»

There’s a moment every water painter knows: the reference looks alive, your painting looks flat, and you can’t explain why. Pablo’s layered method changes that — what looked like a master’s intuition turns out to be a sequence you can learn and repeat.

You follow the reference, the shapes are right, the result feels heavy. You need the method, not another demo

You've grown in other subjects. Water keeps you in place. You need a breakthrough challenge, not more tutorials

You want a professional to look at your painting and tell you — specifically — what to fix next. You need feedback from a master

You can replicate a demo once. You can't repeat the result without the video next to you. You need principles, not step-by-step

You've done his first program. You know the four types of water. Now you want the layered method underneath — how he actually builds the depth. This program picks up where the first one left off

FINAL WORK EXAMPLES

PABLO’S METHOD

  • Pablo thinks in layers before he thinks in shapes. Most painters try to get the scene right. Pablo gets the sequence right — the order in which washes land decides the depth of the water
  • He teaches the decisions behind the strokes, not just the strokes. Why this edge stays soft, why that reflection cools, where the bottom plane disappears. His water looks effortless because the hard work happened in the planning, not in the painting
  • His method starts with you. The program adapts to where your water is already working and where it isn’t

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my admiration of watercolor, which for me embodies all the spontaneity of water itself. Water is the source of everything. There is no life without water
