Day 1 – Design Before Detail
Part 1: Theory
- The Yin-Yang principle of composition: balancing large light shapes with small dark accents
- Why simplicity creates artistic freedom
- Seeing shapes instead of objects – the mental shift that transforms your painting
You will understand why strong design always comes before detail — and how to apply this immediately.
Part 2: Practice
- Quick Notan sketch demonstration
- Transforming one scene into 2–3 different compositions
- Learning how small design changes dramatically affect the final result
You will see how a single reference can become multiple strong artistic statements.
Day 2 – From Studio to Plein Air
Part 1: Theory
- Why Prasad paints en plein air and how it shapes his artistic voice
- The difference between outdoor and studio painting
- What participants will experience at his offline plein air workshop in England
You will understand how outdoor painting builds sensitivity, atmosphere, and presence.
Part 2: Practice
- Full live painting demonstration
- Expressive gestures and looseness in watercolor
- Creating atmosphere through bold shapes and simplified design
You will paint together with Prasad and experience freedom in your brushwork.
