Your workshop with Konstantin Sterkhov

Day 1

Values, water, light and a restrained palette, all shown on one live sea painting. Konstantin paints a breaking wave from start to finish. He stops at the moments where the decisions happen: which value belongs where, how to hold the whites, how to keep the sky and water working together, what to simplify and what to leave out.

Alongside the painting he runs focused exerciseson masking and on building light out of the dark, and reads a second scene, two sheep at sunset, as tonal values

Expect focused brushwork, clear explanations, and a Q&A where Konstantin answers your questions about value, water and composition.
