In this course, you will be drawing and painting ballerinas under the guidance of Anna Ivanova – an experienced instructor and a professional ballet painter. Anna knows how to depict the beauty of the pose, show movement, express emotions, and portray figures in challenging lighting. She will gladly share her knowledge with you!
Together with Anna, you will create 3 spectacular paintings, learning to work with tone, mixing clean colors, and enjoying the relaxing process of watercolor painting in alla prima technique.

This course is designed for those who have some experience in watercolor and want:

Figure drawing
Learn to draw figures in any pose with the help of author's simplification tips.
Lesson 3
At the barre. Human skin painting.
Learn to choose the right tone, to mix the right colors for skin tone, to show the relief of the woman's back, and to transmit the texture of hair.
Lesson 4
At the barre. Tutu and textile painting
Learn how to combine clearly incompatible colors, to paint tutu and find the right background color to make a successful painting.
Lesson 5
Before the show. Figure front view
Learn how to paint two figures in a complicated composition, to transmit complex lighting effects and to paint white dresses.
Lesson 6
Before the show. Figure back view
Master painting ballet dancer’s figure from the back with a complex backlight.
Lesson 7
Behind the scene. Pencil drawing
Learn how to make a drawing, paying attention to anatomy and proportions.
Lesson 8
Behind the scene. Watercolor part
Learn how to create soft skin and tutu tones, convey deep intense dark tones, and connect a very light subject with a very dark background.
