Antonio Bartolo

  • Antonio was born in Angola in 1962. Currently he lives in Torres Vedras (Portugal). He is a self-taught watercolor artist
  •  In 1998 he made his first individual exhibition. Since then he has participated in several national and international collective exhibitions
  • His work is represented in several public and particular collections, both in Portugal and abroad
  • He has been a curator of three events: the International Meeting of Watercolour of Santa Cruz, The International Watercolour Meeting of Caldas da Rainha, and the 1st International Festival of Watercolour – IWS Portugal
  • Antonio regularly tutors small watercolor workshops and classes. He is also a founding member of AAPOR – Associação de Aguarela de Portugal (Watercolour Association of Portugal)

Which materials do you need 
for the course?


Materials Needed:
- Watercolor paints
- 100% cotton watercolor paper, 300 gsm, fine grain 
- Brushes (various types including squirrel mop, Kolinsky sable, synthetic flat) 
- Soft eraser, 6B and 2B pencils
- Kitchen paper 
- Sponge for excess water or paint 
- Tape and pencil for adding fine details
