This course is dedicated to cities – places where we spend most of our lives. But do we pay enough attention to their individuality, their soul, and atmosphere? 


Together with a master of cityscape and landscape painting Javid Tabatabaei, we will discover all facets of cityscapes! We will learn about volume and perspective, see how cities look in different weather conditions and at various times of day. But, most importantly, we will understand how to show the uniqueness of each city.


We will not merely copy reference photos – we will paint our emotions, our feelings and ideas. We’ll learn to turn on our imagination and make our paintings really captivating. Join the course and reveal the beauty of cities with Javid Tabatabaei!

Meet your instructor

Javid Tabatabaei

  • Javid Tabatabaei is an artist who has been painting for more than 20 years.
  • He has participated in group and solo exhibitions all around the globe. His exhibitions have been held in a number of leading galleries and contemporary art foundations in China, Turkey, Italy, Pakistan, Japan, Serbia, Canada etc.
  • Javid Tabatabaei hosts both in-person and online workshops.
  • He has been on the jury for the international watercolor society of Turkey for 2 consecutive years.
  • Javid Tabatabaei is a Brand Ambassador of RockWell Art Supplies Inc. He has received a great number of awards worldwide.

  2. Watercolor set (any watercolor paints you use)
