Lesson 2
1.1 Starting with Structure
You will learn more about structure, understand why it is so important, and see how it will help you level up all your artworks.
Lesson 3
1.2 Making a Tonal Study. Still Life
You will see how to identify structure in a still life, find out how to use it, and make a tonal study for your watercolor painting.
Lesson 4
1.3 Still Life with Two Cups
You will make a drawing using the knowledge about structure, see how to connect the shapes maintaining unity, and understand how to make your painting volumetric by working with all three dimensions together.
Lesson 5
2.1 Creating Impact with Structure
You will learn how to use structure to create impact in your paintings and see how structure differs from composition.
Lesson 6
2.2 Making a Tonal Study. Landscape
You will draw a simple sketch of your subject on rough paper, plan contrasts, and see how to make the subjects pop out and attract people's attention.
Lesson 7
2.3 Landscape in Warm Colors
You will paint a landscape, see how to make a focal point stand out, and understand how to convey atmosphere and create color harmony in your watercolor.
Lesson 8
3.1 Creating Harmony with Structure
You will see how to create harmony using structure, make a drawing for your future waterscape with boats, and find out how to connect foreground, midground, and background in a more complex scene.
Lesson 9
3.2 Waterscape with Boats. First Layer
You will start with watercolor and make the first wash, choosing a harmonious color gamut and connecting all the shapes in a painting.
Lesson 10
3.3 Waterscape with Boats. Final Touches
You will see how to add light, shadows, details, and contrasts to your painting, learn when to stop, and understand how to correct the artwork if something goes wrong.
Lesson 11
Conclusion
Creative task. Use all the skills you gained at the course and make your own painting with a good structure and superb atmosphere.

Which materials do you need
for the course?
Paper :
Arches, Cold pressed (fine grain). 300 gms.
Colours :
Burnt Sienna, Gold Ochre/Raw Sienna, Winsor Red, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Turquoise, Winsor Blue (Green shade), Quinacridone Violet . Any white (Janine uses gouache). Сolor are by Winsor & Newton, but most brands are great today and will be fine.
Brushes :
Raphael 'Mop' brush, series 803. Size 4.
SAA 'Large Oval Wash Brush'. Size 18mm.
Escoda 'Perla' for all details. Size 6.
