Emotive Watercolor Cat: The Art of Expression
Unlock the art of painting a ginger cat with watercolor as Dylan Pierce guides you in capturing its character, emotions, and uniqueness, while strategically using shape, color, and carefully chosen edges to convey the perfect mood, character, and emotion
LIFETIME ACCESS |
In this course, Dylan Pierce shows you how to paint a cat with watercolor, using a step-by-step approach for showing character, emotions, and uniqueness of the animal.
Painting with Dylan, you will learn how watercolor works, see how to keep your washes clean and also how to put life in the painting with juxtaposing colors and allowing contact in carefully chosen areas. Dylan explains how making color choices and choosing specific edges will give you more than a likeness, but also a mood.
Dylan’s goal in this course is more than just painting fur and capturing the soul but to teach you how to strategically use shape, color and carefully chosen edges to convey the perfect mood, character and emotion. Dylan explains how to make artistic choices based on the specific message. In this painting, Dylan conveys a warm, nurturing gentleness and playfulness.
This course will suit intermediate and experienced artists who:
already know fundamental techniques and want to study professional painting approaches;
dream to get more control over color and pigment and practice such techniques as transparent glazing, timing of wetness, dry into damp, and wet into wet;
are looking to achieving life and capturing the soul in the painting;
would like to learn to not just copy a photo, but convey mood and emotions by choosing a suitable design.
