You will learn about different materials for working with a pencil and understand how to prepare your workspace for drawing.

Sketches
You'll learn why it's important to practice sketching every day, how to sketch correctly, what paper is best to sketch on, what materials to use, and how long it takes to create a sketch.
Thumbnails
Learn to think variatively, compose, and analyze.
Shading
You will learn about blending and shading, see how to make a proper academic stroke, and understand how to use different strokes to convey shadows and textures.
Pencil sharpening
You will learn how to properly sharpen a pencil, what good and bad sharpening looks like. You will see on the example of several pencils how to sharpen the lead of a pencil so that it does not become brittle.
Module 2. A studio drawing of a skull
Anatomy, proportions, details, and realism of the skull. The result is a drawing from scratch.
