Jordan M.Rhodes

Which materials do you need for the course?


Brushes: Princeton Neptune, Mottler Size 2”, Wash ½”, Round Size 2

Princeton Velvetouch, Wash 1”, Angle Shader ½”, Flat Shader Size 10


Painting Surface:
  • Strathmore Toned Tan Mixed Media 12” x 9”
  • Miscellaneous
  • Butcher tray (mixing palette)
  • Water bucket
  • Spray Bottle
  • Paper towels
  • Masking tape


Paint: I use goauche from various brands such as Maimeri, Turner, and M. Graham but you can use any brand that you’d like. Winsor and Newton gouache is probably the easiest to find in most art stores. Budget brands like Arteza will work as well. You can see my full palette below if interested.  All of these colors are certainly not necessary for this lesson or for painting in general.
