NEW ONLINE COURSE

by PATRICIA GUZMAN

Mastering Realistic Portraits in Watercolor

Paint 3 realistic watercolor portraits, learning the step-by-step process, going beyond the techniques, and achieving mastery under the guidance of Patricia Guzmán

                         LIFETIME ACCESS

This course focuses on sharing the fundamental tools and practices of painting a portrait realistically. Through this experience, the unfounded fear of watercolor you may have will be lost; you will enjoy, learn from mistakes, and push your further work!

From the photographic reference Patricia will provide, you will apply direct and indirect watercolor painting methods in their variants of wet on wet, wet on dry, and dry brush. Emphasis will be placed on the good use of color with a reduced palette of transparent colors, achieving the effect of fleshiness of the skin. The painting will be the result of the sum of direct and indirect painting achieved with transparent layers of watercolor; studying and emphasizing the management of tonal values, edges, planes in the image and color.

You will break down the bases and different techniques of watercolor and apply these principles to 3 picturesque and lifelike portraits!
