Still life is one of the greatest painting genres for both beginner and professional artists. Composition, shape, textures, tonal values, the variety of techniques and styles – while painting a still life you can literally master and practice most of the fundamental principles of watercolor art!
During this course, we will learn to paint different textures, such as glass, fruits, textile, and wood, combine subjects in a complicated composition, create contrasting volumetric shapes, and apply the wet-on-wet technique for making our paintings vivid and colorful.

An introduction to our learning platform and an overview of the materials used in this course.
Lesson 2
A still life with a milk jug. Pencil part
We will make a pencil drawing and learn how to depict a challenging shape of a milk jug.
Lesson 3
A still life with a milk jug. Watercolor part
We will learn how to paint different glossy textures, such as a jug, grapes, a pomegranate, and a metal spoon.
Lesson 4
A still life with a titbird. Pencil part
We will talk about the way to build a complicated composition and make a pencil drawing.
Lesson 5
A still life with a titbird. Watercolor part
We will learn how to paint other glossy textures, such as glass, fruits, and textile and add a lovely bird to embellish this composition.
Lesson 6
A still life with a pumpkin. Pencil part
We will make a pencil drawing of the most complex composition in the whole course.
Lesson 7
A still life with a pumpkin. Watercolor part
We will practice painting many different types of porcelain and connecting all subjects together to create a completed final composition.
Conclusion
Creative task
A summary of all techniques and a creative task from the instructor.

We will paint different glossy textures, such as porcelain, glass, metal, and fruits. All of them have shine but this shine is so different and unique!

We will know how to paint all subjects to make them as volumetric as possible and create a strong 3d effect

We will learn how to connect all subjects on paper to make our painting look completed and how to feel the wetness of paper and brush, which will help us improve our works
