Course "Energy of water"
  • Create a story through various forms of water and sky, waves and wind, yachts and sailors, geese and seagulls
  • Enrich the waterscape with various textures: splashing waves, sea foam, stones, yacht gear, fog
  • Convey emotions and mood through experimenting with the lighting effects
  • Let the painting flow: combine groups of objects and get rid of excessive details
  • Master the skills without prior pencil drawing

Over 30 years of painting experience and 20 years of teaching practice

Participated in 70 international and 10 solo exhibitions, member of the jury for various international competitions

My paintings are placed in museums, private and corporate collections worldwide

I am an author of the book «Masters of Watercolor» and the founder of the magazine «Planet of Watercolor»

I am a member of the Artists Union of Russia, the Saint-Petersburg Watercolor Society, and the Watercolor Society of Finland

Which materials do you need 
for the course?



  • Paints - any high-quality artistic paints (e.g. Daniel Smith, Sennelier, Winsor&Newton, Schmincke, White nights etc.)
  • Watercolor paper 300 g (e.g. Saunders Waterford, Canson Heritage, Arches, Baohong etc.)
  • A flatbed or board for attaching paper, slightly larger than a sheet of paper
  • Brushes: flat #35, large round squirrel or imitation squirrel (# 10 to 14), medium sharp tip (# 6 to 8) and rigger (liner) # 2 
  • Paper napkins or paper towel, paper tape, wax crayon or a candle, masking pencil, graphite pencil (B, 2B, 3B), eraser, plastic or ceramic palette, jar of water
