You’ve spent years honing your watercolor skills,
but still find yourself asking:

‘I always get lost in the details and lose the big picture.’ – Halfway through a painting you realize the composition fell apart or it got overworked.

If any/all of these resonate, then you’re in the right place.
This program was created for you!

“The Master’s Journey: Watercolor from Observation to Personal Style” is your complete roadmap to watercolor mastery of values and style!

It is a 4-Module comprehensive program that transforms how you approach painting. Under Jessica L Bryant’s guidance, you’ll learn a repeatable process to go from reference or idea to finished artwork – a process that emphasizes value structure and intentional stylistic choice. By the end, you won’t copy a scene – you’ll interpret it in the style you choose, with clarity and confidence.
This program centers on a core thinking system that unlocks your personal style and supports long-term growth. It’s about learning how to think and see like a seasoned artist.
“This isn’t about copying my approach. It’s about helping you understand how you want to paint.”
Jessica L Bryant
Jessica about the program...
Why this program is different:

Focus on fundamentals that matters: We zero in on value structure – the often neglected foundation. Many courses teach color mixing or specific techniques; this one teaches you how to think and see, which elevates everything else. Basically: not just a bunch of tricks, but a fundamental framework.

Two styles, one process: You’ll master 2 opposite approaches: how to paint loosely and how to paint in detail, and when to use each. This dual approach is rare – most lessons focus on one style. Here you get the full spectrum, which is why students say they gain so much range from this training.

Interactive learning: With Premium or Elite plans, you won’t be alone. You’ll get feedback on your work – either from our trained curator or from Jessica herself – meaning you get personalized tips to improve. It’s like having a coach by your side, keeping you on track. (Even the Standard plan includes peer interaction in the chat).

Mindset and confidence: Beyond the technical skills, this program works on your mindset as an artist. You’ll replace doubt with understanding. Jessica’s approach has helped even long-time painters regain their confidence and enthusiasm. It’s not just about making one pretty painting – it’s about changing how you approach all your paintings going forward.

Paint with confidence and clarity: Discover why value structure is the “secret ingredient” behind impactful paintings. Learn how getting values right can instantly elevate your work and give you clarity at every step.
02
Loose or detailed – your choice: See how the same subject can be painted in a loose, impressionistic style or with tight, vivid detail. Jessica will show you how to shift between styles intentionally, instead of being stuck in one approach.
03
Simplify complex scenes: Tackle even the most complex landscapes or subjects without overwhelm. Learn a step-by-step method to simplify any scene into big shapes and lights/darks, so you can plan a painting that works from the start (no more getting lost in the weeds of detail too soon).
04

Your curator for this course
Terrilynn Dubreuil
Watercolor artist

«I have painted with watercolor since my Fine Art classes at the University and I started teaching it soon after and have taught it ever since. I love the fresh, flowing approach to the medium.
Watercolor gives me an oblique strategy approach to art because one has to to approach it in an almost „opposite“ way of thinking from other media. It keeps my brain active! I use watercolor a lot for studies, plein air sketches, and underpaintings for my pastel paintings.»
